What makes it different
Your own keyboard, not a picture of one
Connect a VIA or Vial board over WebHID and Pagestroke reads its real keymap, every layer of it. No firmware? Import a QMK keymap.json, run the calibration wizard, or pick a preset. Your speed and mistakes are painted on the keys where you actually pressed them.
Practice on books, not word lists
Open one of the public domain classics on the shelf, or add your own EPUB or TXT. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded. You type it paragraph by paragraph and it remembers exactly where you stopped.
Drill the keys that are holding you back
Every keystroke feeds a confidence score per key and per pair of keys. When you want to work on the weak ones, Pagestroke pulls sentences thick with them out of the book you are already reading.
How a session goes
- Pick a book from the public domain shelf, or add one of your own.
- Connect or choose your keyboard — or skip it and type on plain ANSI QWERTY.
- Type the paragraph in front of you. Three lines at a time, the live one in the middle.
- Watch the heatmap, run a 30-second speed test, or drill the five keys you are least sure of.
