Pagestroke is a free typing trainer. Using it means agreeing to what is on this page. It is written plainly rather than in legal language, and it says what it means.
Your account
You can use Pagestroke without one. If you sign in, you do so through an enabled sign-in provider — Google and GitHub today, and whichever others a deployment turns on — and that provider's rules apply to that account as well as these. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you can delete it at any time from the settings page.
The books you add
They stay yours. Adding one gives us no rights over it beyond storing it and showing it back to you: your books are visible to you alone.
Only add books you are allowed to have. Do not upload anything you have no right to copy, and do not use Pagestroke as a place to keep or pass on material that infringes someone else's rights. Anything found to break that is removed.
The books on the public domain shelf are believed to be free of copyright in their country of origin. Copyright is territorial, so check your own before you assume the same is true where you are.
Limits
An account holds up to 30 books. One book holds up to 10 MB of text, and a file may be up to 50 MB before it is read. Saving typing and adding books are rate limited, so one reader cannot crowd out the rest. Do not try to work around any of that, scrape the app, or put load on it that a person typing could not.
Availability
Pagestroke is offered as it is, with no promise that it will work, keep working, or still be here next year. Features can change or be withdrawn. Export your data from the settings page if you would mind losing it.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or that is being used to attack the service. Otherwise your account stays until you delete it.
Warranty and liability
Pagestroke comes with no warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for anything you lose through using it — including data, time or a reading position. Nothing here limits a right you have that cannot be limited by agreement.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did, and carrying on using Pagestroke after that is how you accept the new version.
